This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed on lumaandhome.co.uk and outlines our shipping methods, delivery timeframes, and the related processes that govern how your order reaches you. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms described below. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a UK consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Shipping Destination
We currently ship to the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland) including most remote areas of the British Isles. We do not currently ship to addresses outside the UK. If you are unsure whether we deliver to your postcode, please email {email} before placing your order.
Order Processing Time
All orders are processed within 1–2 business days after payment confirmation. Orders placed on weekends or UK public holidays will be processed on the next available business day. Once your order has been processed and handed to the carrier, you will receive a confirmation email containing your tracking number and a link to follow the parcel. Processing time is separate from shipping/transit time.
Shipping Methods and Estimated Delivery Timeframes
United Kingdom — Standard Shipping
- Estimated delivery: 6–10 working days from the date you place your order (including processing time).
- Final-mile delivery is handled by trusted UK carriers such as Royal Mail, Evri, DPD, or equivalent — the specific carrier depends on the parcel size, destination, and the distribution centre handling your order.
- Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays. During peak periods (Black Friday, Christmas, Boxing Day sales, January sales, public-holiday weeks) delivery may take a little longer.
Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to customs processing, weather conditions, carrier disruptions, industrial action, or other factors outside our control. Where a guaranteed delivery date has been specifically promised to you in writing, that guarantee will take precedence.
Shipping Costs
Free Standard Shipping. We offer free shipping on every UK order, with no minimum spend, no postcode surcharges, and no hidden fees. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
Order Tracking
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number. You can track your parcel via the carrier's website or via our order tracking page. Please allow up to 48 hours after receiving your shipping confirmation for the tracking information to become active — carriers update their systems in batches, so the first scan often appears the next working day.
Customs, Duties & Taxes
All prices displayed on lumaandhome.co.uk are inclusive of applicable UK VAT and import duties . Our supplier delivers to you on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis — meaning all customs clearance, import VAT, and any applicable duties are paid on your behalf before the parcel arrives at your door. There are no hidden fees or additional charges to bear upon delivery. What you see at checkout is the final amount you pay.
You will not be asked to pay any extra amount by the courier on delivery. If you are ever asked to do so, please refuse the charge and contact us at {email} immediately so we can investigate with the carrier.
Incorrect Shipping Address
Please ensure your shipping address is accurate and complete before placing your order. We are not responsible for delays or failed deliveries resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address provided at checkout, including missing flat numbers, incorrect postcodes, or typos in street names.
If you realise that you have entered an incorrect address, please contact {email} immediately after ordering. We will do our best to update the address, but we cannot guarantee changes can be made once an order has been processed and handed to the carrier. Parcels returned to us due to incorrect addresses can be reshipped at your cost, or refunded minus our original outbound delivery handling.
Missed Delivery and Redelivery
If you are not at home when the courier attempts delivery, they will typically leave a card, attempt redelivery on the next working day, or take the parcel to a local collection point or safe place. Please follow the carrier's instructions to rearrange delivery or collect the parcel from a depot or locker. Parcels uncollected for more than 14 days will usually be returned to us; please contact us to arrange re-dispatch or a refund.
Lost, Damaged or Missing Orders
Damaged on arrival: If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the damaged item and the original packaging. We will arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you, in line with our Refund Policy.
Lost in transit: If your order has not arrived within 3 working days of the upper end of your estimated delivery window, please contact us. We will open an investigation with the carrier and keep you updated until the parcel is located or a replacement is arranged.
Missing items: If your parcel arrives but items are missing, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We will check our dispatch records and, if confirmed, arrange a replacement at no additional cost.
Risk and Title
Risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to you upon delivery to the address you provided at checkout. Title to the goods passes to you once payment has been received in full and the goods have been delivered. Until that time, we retain title to the goods.
